These are Cindy's roles in life in priority order:  child of my heavenly Father, wife of William R. Townsend, Jr., mother to Taylor Jean Townsend and William Rex Townsend, III, and minister. Cindy currently serves as Director of the Global Leadership Institute of Jackson Preparatory School in Jackson, MS. She is also a freelance writer and inspirational speaker for women's and student retreats.
In May, 2012, Cindy received her Doctorate at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (D Ed Min in leadership administration and servant leadership). She also holds a Master of Arts in Christian Education, Masters Ed. in Music, a B.S. in Music Education, and serves as an adjunct professor in Christian studies on the university level.

Well known for her emotional anthem, "Power of the Cross," Shelly is an Atlanta-based Christian artist, worship leader, and songwriter. It wasn't until the age of 14 when Shelly's father tragically died that Shelly met God in a personal way. During that experience, Shelly began to write songs and felt called to ministry.
"Power of the Cross" was awarded Song of the Year by the Gospel Music Association. In 2009, Shelly released her independent album, Mosaic of Grace. In February, 2011, Shelly signed her first publishing and recording deal with Lifeway Worship, in partnership with Maranatha! Music. Shelly and her husband, Jack, reside in Woodstock, GA.
